Hand Rejuvenation

Hands give your age away independently of your face. Daily exposure to sun, water and chemicals, combined with subcutaneous fat loss, makes veins and bony structures increasingly prominent. With modern medical-aesthetic procedures, lasting hand rejuvenation is achievable.

Anatomy of Hand Ageing

As the subcutaneous fat layer thins, veins, tendons and bony prominences become more visible. Simultaneously the skin loses elasticity and moisture-retention capacity; sun spots accumulate, pigmentation deteriorates. Constant mechanical stress on the hands — wetting and drying, UV exposure, chemical contact — slows down healing as well.

Treatment Options

Hyaluronic acid filler: medium-density HA is placed via cannula. Softens vein and bone visibility; restores a fuller, younger contour. Effect: 6–12 months.

Calcium hydroxylapatite (Radiesse): provides immediate volume and stimulates long-term collagen. Considered the gold standard for hand rejuvenation; effects last 12–18 months.

Mesotherapy: vitamin complex, glutathione and HA blends improve pigmentation and skin quality. Excellent companion to fillers when pigmentation issues coexist.

Carboxytherapy: CO₂ delivered subdermally stimulates local circulation, improves cellular nutrition and accelerates tissue renewal. Particularly impressive on pale, poorly-perfused hands.

Procedure and Recovery

Hand-back filler via cannula takes 20–30 minutes. Mild swelling resolves within 24–48 hours. Immediate visible improvement in contour and plumpness. Mesotherapy results are cumulative; the strongest improvement appears 4–6 weeks after the third session.

Aftercare

To maintain results, intensive moisturisation and continuous SPF 50+ sunscreen application are essential. Gloves and minimising chemical contact speed up healing and protect the result.
